Brick roads, casinos & Blake Shelton.

Warning: Picture overload.

Our first couple days in Oklahoma we stayed with my cousin Julie in Shawnee.

I learned that Brad Pitt was born there and they have lots of horse statues. Like one on every block you guys, and they are all painted with different themes like the solar system and the american flag. They were great photo opps, to bad I was to lazy to get out of the car and take pictures with all of them.

While we were there we took a mini road trip over to Waurika where my Great grandpa was born.

So apparantly they have these things called tolls in Oklahoma, who knew?
And they have the lovliest people working at the tolls too, see :)
Oh and we took a bathroom break at this fantastic casino that gave us free drinks.
(by free drinks i mean free sweet tea)
So we decided to hit up a penny machine on the way out ;)
We couldnt stay for to long cuz the elderly lady with the oxygen tank that was nursing her cig was getting to us.

Then we got to see the brick road my great, great grandpa helped lay.

The town was really quiet until we started taking pictures in the middle of the road.
Then all of the sudden there was a bunch of traffic on the main road.
Traffic as in like 4 cars.

And we of course had to take a few pics in front of the cowboy wall.
Idk if it was really called the cowboy wall, thats just what I named it.
Yes, I know my creativeness in naming things is carazzyyy!
Can you see the digital bank sign? It says 110 degrees!
It was stinkin' hot! Like why did I even wear make up cuz its literally meltin off my face hot!

There was a train that made for some awesome kodak moments,
like me posing in the doorway and hanging out the window.
My cousin Julie actually braved the train first and went inside and checked it out.
When she let me know there were no rats or anything small and furry hanging out inside,
I decided it was also safe for me to check it out too.

Morgan was to busy on the phone to take pictures with anyone else.
I actually made her pose in the middle of a very important call with her admissions counselor,
But whatever, i needed the picture, obviously she is talented and can pose and listen at the same time.
Me? Not so much, I probably would have already stopped paying attention at that point in the conversation anyways.

At the end of the day of course I had to include a picture of us standing in front of the
waurika sign, the water tower, and the sunset.

Took a few photos with our cousins who we dont get to see often enough.

And we couldnt leave for Tulsa until we stopped by the Ada sign.
We just had to take a picture with one of our favorite country singers home town sign.
We were hoping to run into him and Miranda at some point, but after stalking him on twitter
we learned he was outta town. We also tweeted him telling him we were in his home town and he never tweeted us back. He went down a notch on my favorite country singer list after that.
(Blake if you are reading this, you can still retweet me and I will gladly give you your position back;) )
I feel like these pictures are kind of self explanatory. It was obviously a backseat photoshoot. Of myself. Oh and one of my sister navigating with her phone, which we quickly gave up on and pulled out faithful Naomi (she is our gps. yeah. we named her.)

I know you are probably wishing there was more to read and see, but dont worry friends, there is. But I will save it for later posts, that was just our first 3 days in Oklahoma.

Wait til you hear about our tornado scare. You will definitely want to tune in for that one.

Until next time :)
